Just talk...

I'll share some hair pictures on my next post. I tried a new technique this time and I'm kind of liking it. I didn't realize; however, that my natural hair was so curly!! :o)

Here are my latest scrappy goodies! The first one is a card for the little one's teacher. The 2nd one if for my niece's 10th birthday. I still can't believe she's 10!!!

This is one of pages in my daughter's baby book. I decided to finally start working on it. About time!! She's 5!! LOL!! She was one of her first days in the hospital and she looks so perfect. Such a tiny little thing. :o)

Hopefully I can start making things for my Etsy shop again. I guess I took kind of an unofficial hiatus. Just no inspiration for it this past month. I will say that I'm looking forward to creating things for it again so stay tuned. :)

**WARNING**...Yucky Post!

If you're squeamish, you may want to skip this post!!

My dilema:

Thursday morning I noticed a small white bump on my knee. It was a little sore, but I didn't think anything of it. Friday morning, the bump had grown a little and there was also a little redness around it. Saturday morning, I could barely bend my leg, my knee was stiff, the entire surface of my knee was red and inflamed and it was extremely sore. I originally thought this was just your average infected hair follicle, but after the rest of the symptoms appeared on Saturday, I started to think that this maybe something else.

Now, anyone who knows me also knows that I don't like going to the Dr. and I will endure pain just to keep from going!! (yes...I know it's crazy! LOL!) Well, I started to surf the web thinking that this may be some kind of insect bite. I ran across some spider bite pictures and quickly put on clothes and drove to the nearest after hours Dr.'s office.

Diagnosis:

Definitely a Spider bite of some kind!!! Not exactly sure of the species, but thankfully it didn't appear to be the infamous Brown Recluse or the Black Widow. So, after removing the top so that it could drain, I was sent home with antibiotics and told to keep pressing to help it drain and use a heating pad to help with the soreness. It's still draining, but the swelling has gone down A LOT!! I have a follow up appointment tomorrow so I'm praying that things will be much better.

Here are a few pictures of what it looked like yesterday. EWWWWW!! Sorry for all of you with weak stomachs like mine. I can barely stand to look at it myself!! OUCH!

Just stuff!!

Wanna see my latest obsessions?!!!

Untamed

I love to read and I'll read just about anything if it's good. My sister's and I have been kind of addicted to series lately. It all started with "Harry Potter" a long time ago, then it advanced to "Twilight" , then "The Women's Murder Club" series by James Patterson, and now we've gotten hooked on the House of Night series. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself because there are 6 books in the series and the 6th one doesn't come out until October!! Now, I'm already on book 4 and will probably be finished with that one and book 5 by the end of this week. Then what am I gonna read??!! HAHAHAHA!! Oh well, I'm sure we'll find something. We're already thinking about reading this one.
Well, my next obsession is Carol's Daughter.
I promise I have been looking for products and styles for my hair for most of my life with no luck. I'm not quite sure how to describe my hair texture. I'll have to take a picture of the back of my head so you can see soon. I would say my hair was a mixture of several cultures and I'm not quite sure how that happened!! LOL!! I have the kind of hair that was cute as a kid, but now that I'm a grown up, I can't do anything with it. Just picture a feather weight cotton ball with waves, that retreats if I even think about humidity!! LOL!! So, I was looking for a product that used natural ingredients that didn't weigh down my hair. I stopped trying to find a beautician that could style it a long time ago. I did find this website that has some great tips and I can't wait to try them. She basically says that I should stop fighting my natural curls and accept them. I think I'm ready to do just that...

Now, on to scrappy stuff!! I've actually been doing a little scrapping. Here are my latest pages. I'm looking forward to a monthly crop that we have here at the Hampton Inn. It's a 24 hour crop and so much fun. I can't wait!!

Busy me...

I guess I won't keep apologizing for my lack of blogging...life just gets in the way sometimes. :0) Anyway, I have been scrapping. I found a new friend (Ruby) who loves scrapping just as much as I do. We recently went to a scrapbook store that was closing :o( and got tons of stuff!! After that, we kind of went on a binge shopping at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Target, and online!! HAHAHAHA!! Now, we've put ourselves on punishment and we're banned from shopping until we use some of this stuff. I just wonder how long that will last??!! LOL!!

Well, here are my latest scrappy pages!
