American Sign Language

For the past 7 weeks, I've been taking a community American Sign Language (ASL 1) course. I really wasn't sure what to expect in the beginning, but it has turned out to be a great experience. Honestly I've always been interested in learning how to sign. I'm not sure why either because I don't know any Deaf people. Maybe this is just a sign of something God has planned for me to do. I will say that there is SOOOO much more to learn and I'm looking forward to studying more and finding ways to become involved with the Deaf community. :) Wish me luck on my final tonight!!

On another note, I've been enjoying a week long vacation filled with staying up late, taking naps, eating whatever, crafting, and just relaxing. I'm thinking that I should do this at least once a year!! A girl, needs these kind of days!! :)

I told you in my last post that I had been crafting away!! Here are a few of my latest creations that have been added to my Etsy Shop. Take a look and tell me what you think...

Happy Halloween

Isn't she the cutest little witch ever?!! I know, I know...I may be just a little bit biased. LOL!! This year she was specific about her costume. She said that she wanted to be a witch, but not a scary witch. She wanted to be a cute girly witch and her costume had to have pink on it. :) (Anyone see a pattern here?!! LOL!!)

So, this is what she picked out and it's DEFINITELY girly. Pink & black with sheer fabric and glitter accents. She said, "Mommy, this costume is perfect!" (smile) Thanks to my younger sister who always finds the best costumes!!

On another note, I've been busy in my Etsy shop trying to get it back up and running. There hasn't been much in it for a while, but I've been painting like a mad woman lately. Don't you just love when the "Craft Bug" bites you?!! Here is my latest addition to the Shop... Stay tuned for more soon.

Random Chatter

Yes, I've been MIA once again. I just can't seem to keep up with everything! LOL!! Anyway, hopefully, I am back for good. I miss all of my blogging friends! :)

What have I been up to? A little of this, a little of that... For starters I've been trying to change my lifestyle to a healthier one. It's been a sloooowwww process, but I know it's a good thing that I'm doing. If you want to check out or keep up with my progress, you can see me and my sisters HERE. I've also recently added a few new items to my Etsy Shop. I'm even featuring the Pink glitter chipboard buttons below in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. They are in my PIF (Pay it Forward) section which means they are only .20 cent + shipping.

The Girls

I still can't believe that it is almost Christmas AGAIN!! Where did the year go?!! Well, we are getting ready for Halloween here. My daughter decided that she wanted to be a Cute Girly Witch. Her specific instructions were that she wanted to be a "cute witch" and not a scary one. She also requested that her costume have pink and glitter on it!! LOL!! I can't wait to share pics of this one.
Well, I'm off but I'll be back soon.

Why Am I Still Up?

So it's almost 1:00 AM and I have to wake up in a few hours....so why am I still up?!! Insomnia is not fun sometimes!! BOOOO WHOOO!!

Anyway, since I'm up I thought I'd share a few projects that I've done recently.

Now, I mostly only scrap the little one, but I decided to do another page of my other half. I must say that masculine pages are not my specialty, but I like the way this one turned out. As long as there are no flowers or pink, he's proud!! LOL!!

This was Easter Sunday when the girls were all dressed up. They are so cute together. :)

My child is so hilarious! She loves to swing and as you can tell was having a great time!! LOL!!

Well, I guess I better at least try to get some zzzzzz's. Have a great weekend everybody. :)

Scrappy Stuff

I hope that everyone had a great Mother's Day yesterday. I know I did!! I was greeted with a handpainted flower pot and geranium and handmade card. She was so proud and you know the crafter in me was geeked!! The hubby cooked dinner and I got a movie gift card to see "Eclipse". WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!

Here's a few chipboard buttons that I painted.

My friend and I also had a great scrapping session this weekend. We started out with a few of our scrappy friends scrapping from 7am to 3pm. Then we took a break for lunch and a run to Hobby Lobby and then went back to her house to scrap some more. Talk about the perfect addition to a Mother's Day weekend!!! It was great! Here are 2 pages that I created.

Hooked

Anybody else hooked on this series but me??!! This is the latest book in the House of Night series that released this Tuesday. So, if you're in for a little Vampire-suspense love story, go check them out HERE.

I must warn you that there are 7 books so far!! Who knows how far this series will go, I just know that I will be following!! LOL!!

Well, I couldn't go without leaving you with a little scrappy goodness. Here's another baby card that I created with the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. It was for a precious little baby boy. Isn't that moon the cutest ever??! :o)

Challenge

There's the cutest challenge going on over at MadebyMoMo's blog. The challenge is to make a card using and animal. Well, I finally bought the Create A Critter cartridge by Cricut so this was the perfect opportunity to get in some practice. I had to make some baby cards for my co-worker so this was perfect. Stop by her blog for your chance to play along and to see what all the other ladies created. Here's mine:

I'll leave you with a few pictures...

I was just playing around one day and made these beach buttons.

Just a little card that I made for a co-worker.

Random Chatter

Soooo, I'm taking a quick moment to do a little blogging. I've been slacking a lot this year, but I guess I'll get it together eventually. I hope all of my blog buddies have been doing fine. :o)

So a good friend of mine and I get together about once a month to do some much needed scrapping. We turn it into a weekend filled with scrapping, laughter, singing, and "good eats". What more could a scrapper ask for right?! LOL!!

Speaking of my friend, here is a picture of us. :o) This was taken at her birthday party and we thought we were looking really cute! HAHAHAHAHA!

My little one recently lost two teeth, so what is a scrapping Mom to do??? Here she is showing her new smile. HAHAHAHA!! She is so proud and can't wait to lose another one. Her Mom has a squeamish stomach, so thanks to her teacher her tooth was pulled. I'm so bad, I was going to take her to the Dentist and let them pull it. (Everyone thought I was crazy for that one)

Well, that sums up what's going on with me right now. I promise to come back real soon!! Thanks for stopping by!

I guess I should just stop saying that I'm back, since I KEEP having to say it. Well, it's been over a month since I blogged...WOW!! Where does the time go? It's already March and I swear it seemed like Christmas was just last week!!

Sooooo...what have I been up too?? My munchkin turned 6!! I still can't believe that my baby is 6 yrs old! She lost her first two teeth and boy is she proud!! I'll be sure to post those pictures soon. I've been to two major scrappy sessions with some wonderful friends. I've had an unexpected surgery...(doing much better now). I'm losing weight! (YAAAYYY ME!!) Just to name a few things. LOL!!

Here are a few of my scrappy pages and a picture of my little one and her BFF on her birthday weekend. :)

Happy New Year!

OK, so I'm a little bit late with the New Year wishes!! Sorry! LOL!!

This year has started and it's already moving fast! Did anyone make any New Year's resolutions. I'm calling mine goals instead of resolutions this year. Maybe they'll actually get accomplised! :) I won't actually list them, but they are centered around becoming more physically, spiritually, and finacially healthy. I'll keep you posted on my progress throughout the year.

Here are a few of my latest projects.
