Where did my baby go??

Awwww...I can't believe he's already 1!!! Wow, this year has really flown by. Gone are his puff balls, no teeth and the little slobbering kisses... In case you haven't seen previous posts, this is my God-daughter's son which makes me his God-grandmother or G-Momma as they call me!! hehehehe!! The little one just celebrated his 1st birthday and it started off with a hair cut. He looks so cute and adorable, but I still miss his puff balls. :) Here are a few pictures which also include my little one. She loves him to pieces as you can tell from the shots.

25 Days Til Christmas

Wow!! Can you believe that we only have 25 days until Christmas? This year has really flown by for me. I'm going to make it a point to do a layout that summarizes this year. My little girl has grown so much. I can't believe that she will be really soon. She's already asking for an MP3 player and she's only 4!! I asked her if she even knew what it was and she said, "Mommy, it's just a radio." LOL!! Well, excuse me for not knowing that a 4 year old would know what that was. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I looked at my last post and saw that it was on November 16th! I've really been slacking, so I've gotta work on that. Since it's so late, I won't chat endlessly...HAHAHAHA!! Here's what I've been working on. The Naughty or Nice card & tag are available in my Etsy shop. The other 3 are personal cards that I'll be mailing out soon. I'll chat later. :)

Just Talk and A Few Pictures...

Last week was pretty good. Since I was off work for Veteran's Day, my week went by pretty fast. I still can't believe that Christmas is only 38 days away!! Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?? Well, believe it or not, I've started mine, but now I have to stop because I'm BROKE!!! I need another pay day real soon!! I could harp on this subject forever, so I better move along. LOL!

Here are my latest Etsy goodies. The cards were made using an Oriental Trading Company template. I really love these and think that I will be back to get more soon. You can find my shop HERE or by selecting the Etsy gallery to the right. If you see something that you might like, but would prefer another color, please send me a note and I will be happy to do a custom listing.

I had my monthly Craft night with some friends on Friday. We had a blast as usual and I got 4 cards done. I'll try to post those this week. I have 31 personal Christmas cards to make and I finished 4 at Craft night. I did 3 at the last craft night so I've done a total of 7. I think I better speed up a little, huh?? LOL!! On another note, I got an order for 50 of those Christmas Tree tags, and 20 of those Snow Hat cards!! I'm so excited, but I need to get to work on those SOON!!! I need to have them finished 2 weeks before Christmas. I'll keep you posted on my progress with those. :)

I've already got the Christmas Bug!! I've even started playing Christmas music. LOL!! It's my favorite time of the year, and I always look forward to it. So, since I was already in the Christmas spirit, I decided to start making Christmas goodies for my Etsy Shop. Here are my latest creation...Peppermint Chipboard Buttons!! These are handpainted and glittered! I love the way they turned out and it was so much fun creating them. I plan to use a few to make a frame ornament for my Mom's Christmas tree. I'll be sure to post pictures once I'm done.

Since, I'm feeling all cheerful, I thought this would be the perfect time for a give-away!! If you'd like to win a set of these Peppermint buttons, just reply to this post and tell me what's your favorite holiday and why?

See, what I've been up to. I've got Christmas on the brain in October, so I figured I'd make a few Christmas items to add to my shop. I really love how these turned out and I can't wait to use a set myself. :) They are handpainted chipboard buttons with diamond glitter. I already have a few ideas floating in my head that I'm going to use these on. If you're interested, stop by my Etsy shop to pick up your own set. You can find me HERE.

Sorry, I'm a Bad Blogger!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I've been sick with a sinus infection and just lazy about blogging. Well, I'm back and better! :)

With Halloween coming up, my daughter has been bugging me about decorating the house. I got a few decorations from my Mom and I plan on making a banner this week to hang across the fireplace. I also got this little birdhouse from a co-worker who didn't want it. It started out green & white with purple flowers. A little paint and a few embellishments and you've got a cute little Spooky House. My daughter loves it and wants to put it in her room. She really likes the candy corn fence. LOL!!

Haunted House

We got her costume in the mail the other day. She was soooooooo excited!! She was running around the house and I and to practically pull it off to get her in the tub. I can't wait until she really gets to put it on. It's gonna be so cute!! Now, I have to figure out what to do with her hair. AAARRRRGGGHHHH!! Not looking forward to that! LOL!

You know, I really haven't done a layout in a long time. I've been more focused on cards lately, but this weekend I felt like doing a page. This one is of my neice and my daughter when they were little bugs. Don't you just love the two teeth and that hair is hilarious?? LOL!! I should have known then that there would be trouble down the road trying to tame that mane! HAHAHAHA!! Well, I'm off to wind down for the night. :)

Costumes

So, whenever I start looking for a picture, I end up reminiscing!! LOL! My baby sister loses her mind when it comes to Halloween costumes. Since the day my little one was born, she's always looked forward to dressing her up for Halloween. Now, mind you I've had to say NO to some pretty weird picks like a cheeseburger, Hershey Kiss, and french fries...HAHAHAHA!! I always tell her that she's trying to make a NUT out of my child! LOL! Anyway, after calming her down a bit she's always ended up picking the BEST costumes ever. Now that my daughter is older, she really looks forward to getting her Halloween package in the mail. So, I thought I'd share her costumes for the last 4 years!!

2004: It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!! LOL!!
2005: Snug as a Bug in a Rug :)
2006: Sweet Little Fairy
2007: The Cutest Super Hero

Don't forget to check back after this Halloween to see the new costume!! :o)

Playing Dress Up

So, she got me!! LOL!! I made a quick run in the store to get the 3rd book in Stephanie Meyer's series. I was determined that I would be in an out within 10 minutes. Well, the little one made a comment, "Mom, you never buy me anything, you're always buying those books for you." Well, as parents we all know that "you NEVER buy me anything" could NEVER be a true statement, but I got suckered in!! LOL!! So, I let her walk around and pick out something. Before settling on her final pick, she picked up a book, doll, dress up shoes, and a doll car. Well, when she saw a make up and nail kit full of glitter eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, nails, rings, and bracelets, she was SOLD!!! I promise her eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store!! She was so excited and while walking to the register she said, "Thanks Mom for my gift." That made it all worth it. Awwwwww...yes I'm a sucker!! sniff...sniff...sniff

So, I just had to share pictures of these nails!! They look a HOT MESS, but she loved them!! HAHAHAHAHA!! She even asked to wear them to school...NOT! :o) Just in case you can't tell, she has red glitter eyeshadow on one eye and gold glitter eyeshadow on the other!! LOL! I can't wait until my sisters see these!! I'm just preparing myself for the comments. HAHAHAHA!!

Well, here's the DIVA in training.

Sad News...

I still can't believe it's true!! The store that I design for, A Scrappin Friendsy will be closing effective October 1st. This is such a wonderful place, and I'm really going to miss the friendships that I have made there. :o) When I first went into the store, it felt like home. The owner, Jo, has a beautiful personality. She welcomed me and made me feel like I belonged and she's always been wonderful to my little one. Sometimes, I just went by the store to chat with her and didn't buy a thing, but she was still always waiting with open arms and ready to listen. See why I'm gonna miss this place............

Well, there was a weekend crop at the store and I did manage to go two nights and have a great time. Here is a page that I finished for one of the challenges on the site.

Blessed

School Pics...

And to think I was nervous about these!! She did a great job, but I was kind of concerned after our conversation the morning that the pictures came back. When I told her that her school pictures were back she got kind of quiet. Then she said, "Momma, do you like shy pictures?" I said, "Why?" She said, "Because I was shy on some of my pictures." I said, "Well, I'm sure they are pretty even if you were shy."

Well, I guess this is what shy looks like!! LOL!! You can call me biased, but I think shy is adorable!! I am the Momma though!

Calling All Design Teams...

If you're interested in ordering buttons for your Scrapbook kits or clubs, please stop by my Etsy shop for a custom order. I recently did the one's below for a club in Michigan. I really thought that the turquoise and black combo was cute!! Thanks Bringing Your Own Memories!! :) Stop by and check out their site.

Now, that I have the business out of the way...it's on to the FUN stuff!! LOL!! Here are my latest creations that have been added to my Etsy shop. I really had a lot of fun with these. They are little notebooks that I altered for no other reason than because they are cute and fun. :) I always carry some kind of notebook in my purse for those times when an idea hits and I'm scared that I'll forget it by the time I get home. It really comes in handy for me, so I thought....might as well make them cute too.

Now, last Tuesday was picture day at my daughter's school. She was sooooo excited because I told her that I would try to curl her ponytails. Now, I don't know if you remember my hair picture from a previous post, but my daughter's is just as bad when it comes to POOF!! LOL! So after washing, blow drying, flat ironing, curling, and rolling I managed to get as close to Shirley Temple curls as I could. The picture below was after I picked her up from school, so it looked much better that morning. I was actually expecting it to look a lot worse after a day of playing, but I was pleasantly surprised. So, here is the mini DIVA in all her glory posing for a picture of hair. Is she camera ready or what???

I just hope that this year's pictures aren't a repeat of the previous two years. The first year she was crying on them and the 2nd year she had a TERRIFIED smile!! HAHAHAHA!! She told me when I picked her up and asked how she did that..."I smiled on some of them, but not all." When I asked why, she said, "Because, I didn't know that lady!!" hehehehe!

Well, I'm off to read a book before hitting the hay!! Check back soon for a give-away!
