Pay It Forward

I'm back!! The trip to Atlanta was fun! Other than the two flat tires we had trying to get there, the trip was a success. The kids had a blast!! I had a chance to go back to the MLK Center, which I haven't seen since I was a little girl. It was much more interesting to see it from a grown-up perspective. :o)

Below are some scalloped circle tags that I've posted in my Etsy shop as a "Pay It Forward" (PIF) sale. I got this idea from another fellow Etsy seller and thought it was a wonderful idea. Basically, you only have to pay the listing fee of .20 cents and shipping. In return, you have to post a PIF listing in your own shop or do something nice and unexpected for a stranger.


If you get a chance, please check out my friend, Artsy Writer Mama's place. She is selling a painting and all proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society. We have a mutual friend who lost both parents to Cancer and she is trying to raise money for a wonderful cause.

Random Thoughts...

Well, this week has been eventful. I started back exercising last week and my body is reminding me of that now!! I'll just be happy when I get past this two week slump. It usually takes my body about two weeks to get back into the swing of things, so I'm hoping next week will be better.

I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm meeting my sisters in Atlanta!! We're taking the kids to the Aquarium and the museum. They will be so excited and to be honest...so am I!! LOL! I've never been to the Aquarium and it will just be nice to hang out with my sisters. :o)

Here are my latest Etsy additions. I think I'm going to host some kind of give away here soon. I love my friend, Adriann's idea of doing a randomn drawing to give away something in her Etsy shop. Soooooooo stay tuned!! :o)

Great Weekend

Don't you just love when you have those? Weekends where you don't really have a lot to do and you can just do whatever you want? :) Saturday, I stayed in the bed most of the day watching the NCIS marathon. Then me and the kid went to hang out with my two best friends and their kids. The kids always have a blast when they get together!! My daughter especially has fun since she's an "only child" and craves playing with other children. What's funny is that she never wants to play with the kids that are her age. Always the ones that are a few years older!! It's funny though because both of my best friends have little girls that are 9 & 8 and they carry my daughter around like she's a newborn!! LOL! Her legs are almost as long as theirs so this looks hilarious!

Sunday, we went to church and then back home to watch some TV and relax. I really wanted to craft, but I was lazy. I did however, manage to make some tags to sell on my Etsy shop.

Of course I couldn't leave you without pictures!! LOL! Here's a recent one that I took of my GodGrandson. Isn't he adorable?! I just can't get enough of those eyes. :o)


This is a Bday card that I made for my little cousin's birthday last weekend. I used the dog template from Regina's "I WOOF YOU" bag.

What a day!!

Overslept this morning!! Already running late and guess what??? Flat tire!! UUUGGGHHH!!! So, the hubby had to take me to work which made he and I both LATE!!

After that the day wasn't so bad. Even though today was my busiest day at work, it went smoothly. :o) Got home washed two loads of clothes, cooked dinner, got the kid ready for bed, then off to have some me time. Well, that stopped abruptly after my sister called and couldn't get her computer up to submit her taxes. So, I had to do them for her which took FOREVER!! Good thing...we did finish them before midnight so she wouldn't have to pay any penalties. WOOO HOOOO!!

Just wanted to share my latest Etsy item. This was a fun card to make. I'm still having fun experimenting with paper piecing. I love the way the lady bug turned out!! I've added a few more items, so check out my Etsy shop HERE

Another Quickie

Went to the Dentist today and he told me that everything that I am feeling is normal. Because of the complications involving my procedure, he said that it would take longer than normal to heal. Well, it was good to hear that nothing was wrong!! Now, I'll be glad when the pain goes away.

I'll leave you with a layout that I did of my daughter when she was just one!! My how time flies. I went outside of my pink zone on this one, but I like the way it turned out.

Still not better

Well, you know you would think that I would be feeling better by now, right??!! NOT!! Leave it to me to be the one to take forever to heal from a wisdom tooth removal! I swear, I never do anything halfway. LOL!! (She says jokingly as her jaw is throbbing...)

When she sees this, she's going to get hives just reading that I actually showed the world a piece of her art!! LOL! (Sorry, my friend) Well, I just wanted to show it off and what's wrong with hyping up your friend's talents?? This picture really doesn't do it justice. I'm Back

Wow!! It's been a LONG time since I blogged!! Sorry gang, but I've been a bit under the weather. I had my wisdom tooth removed Wednesday, so I've been out of pocket. My husband insisted that I stay with my Mom since the meds made me dizzy and nauseous. I guess that combo doesn't make for a good caretaker. LOL!! I'm still not 100%, but I'm getting there.

I tell you I was having major internet withdrawal at my Mom's. She doesn't have the web, so I was without my computer for 4 days!! WHEW!! I didn't realize how addicted I was! HAHAHA!

Today was the first day that I've even felt like crafting. I managed to do a few things for my Etsy shop. Check me out!! I also did a layout which I'll post tomorrow. Well, I'm off to bed! Chat with you guys later.
