New Etsy Stuff

Hobby Lobby was having a sale and as usual, I bought too much stuff. Especially since I'm broke!! LOL!! I found a cute paper stack called "All Dressed Up". It's perfect to use with some of the pictures that I have of my daughter. Well, I'm off to take my meds, watch Harry Potter for the 100th time and call it a night!

My Wisdom Tooth...

Well, my pain has gotten better, but I do have to have a wisdom tooth removed. The pain was so bad that I called the Dentist in tears. Now for a person that is TERRIFIED of the Dentist, this is a big thing!! LOL! I found out that my bottom two wisdom teeth are coming in sideways. The one that is hurting has a cyst around it and it's infected...hence the excrutiating pain!! I have scheduled oral surgery for Wednesday the 2nd to get it removed. It's located very close to a nerve so I really need your prayers. If the nerve is damaged, my lip and lower jaw on the left side could be numb forever!!! Imagine my shock when he told me that. Well, I'm not going to worry about it because I know that God ALWAYS has the last say so. :)

I bought a cute monkey stamp today. I made a few things for my Etsy shop using the stamp that I'll be posting tomorrow. I also drew it and used my water color pencils to fill it in. I like the way it turned out. Isn't he a cute little monkey??!!

Well, I'm off to take my pain meds and call it a night. Make sure you come back tomorrow to see my new Etsy stuff. :)

Pain!!!!

Quick post. I have a toothache which is causing a major headache!! Actually it's more of a gum ache than a toothache. To, be honest, my whole mouth is hurting!! To make matters worse, my husband recently changed jobs so it will be two weeks before I can get to the Dentist. :( My tolerance to pain meds is really high, so over the counter medicine usually doesn't work for me. Prayers please!! :o)

Haven't felt much like crafting these past few days, but I did manage to play with my water color pencils. Kind of reminds me of something I did in 4th grade. LOL!!

GOOD FRIDAY

Today was a pretty good day. I got a lot done at work and I am ready for the weekend. Not that I'll get any rest this weekend though. I'm going out with my sisters tonight to our favorite restaurant...Outback, and then we're going to see, Tyler Perry's new movie, "Meet the Browns". They both live out of town, so I always enjoy when they come home. Tomorrow will be full of preparing Easter baskets, practicing Easter speeches, dying eggs, etc. So much fun, but I'll be exhausted by Sunday night!! My daughter will be going to her 1st Easter egg hunt tomorrow, so this should be fun. I just hope the weather is nice so I can get some good pictures. :)

Well, I'm off to start my weekend. Here is one of my Easter projects that I made for my daughter's teacher. I drew, cut and paper pieced the bunny myself. GO ME..GO ME!! LOL!! I got the idea from Regina. If you haven't seen her work, please go check it out. It's amazing!! Thanks Regina.

"G" Mamma

Isn't he cute?? This is my God-daughter's son. I'm not exactly sure what I am to him??!! Would he be my God-grandson??!! LOL!! Right now, they call me "G"Mama. :) He is such a sweetie. This past Friday was my God-daughter's prom. I still can't believe she's old enough for the prom and we're not even going to talk about the fact that she is now somebody's Momma!! My daughter was so excited about us getting to "keep" him as she calls it. She's always asking, "Momma, ask her can WE keep him?" Who is WE???!!! LOL!


After keeping him this weekend, I now see how you get tricked into having more kids. God has a way of making you forget what it used to be like!! LOL!! You should have seen me struggling with that darn carseat, baby bag, blanket, bottles, etc. Then he woke up EVERY 2 HOURS!! One of the times he woke me up blowing bubbles. :) I love him, but I've guess I've gotten spoiled now that my daughter is 4.

What happened to my plans???

I didn't get half of the stuff done this weekend that I wanted to do. Why? Just plain lazy!! I had all these wonderful plans of crafting, making cards, altering items, etc., but that all fizzled out by the time I got home from work on Friday. LOL!! I did manage to squeeze in these two layouts Sunday night. One is of my daughter when she was just a little one!! Doesn't she look sweet in this picture??!! (I may be just a little biased) The second one I've been wanting to do for a while now. I still remember the day I came home from work looking forward to a relaxing foot bath. Well, as you can see from the picture..."Relaxing" didn't last very long!! LOL!

My first Etsy sale!!!

Sold my first card on Etsy today!!! It was the Mother's Day card below. I was sooo excited!! Probably a little more excited than most people. LOL!! I'm sure my co-workers are already sick of me talking about it!! hehehe!

Well, last night I couldn't sleep, so I decided to make a few more. I've fallen in love with the shaped cards. They are so cute and unique. You definitely won't find this one in the store. I guess that's why I love crafting because you can make it your own. Since it was sooo pretty outside here yesterday, I was inspired to make a Spring themed card as well. Check out the hand cut grass!! :)


Well, I'm off to get ready for tomorrow. Be on the look out for more projects this weekend. I plan on spending ALL day Saturday crafting.

Bee Shorts

I'm posting these pictures especially for my sister. She sent my child a goodie box in the mail and enclosed were these bumblebee shorts. As you can see from the pictures, my daughter loves them, but they are WWWWAAAAAAYYYY TOOOO BIG!! LOL!! (Check out the middle picture) Do you see my little super model in the making?? When you pull the camera out, this is what you get. :)


Now, I'll leave you with my two little paintings for the day. In case you can't tell, the top one is a lamp and the other is a purse. Kind of cartoonish looking, but this was the best I could do. Needless to say, I think I should stick to scrapping!! HAHAHA!!

I'm Drawing Again!!

I get tickled everytime I look at this drawing. LOL! My friend, Artsy Writer Mama thought it would be a great idea for us to do the EDM Challenge (Every Day Matters Challenge). It's a challenge where you do a drawing a day and they give you the subject to draw. Well, I decided to play along since it sounded like fun. The first drawing was supposed to be a shoe, so here's my take on it. I chose one of my daughter's shoes since it was lying on my bedroom floor last night!! I think it turned out OK. :) What do you think? I used to draw all of the time when I was in High School, but I haven't done it now in a long time. I guess I should thank my friend, because she brought out one of my old dusty talents, and I'm having fun with this.


Before I go, I just thought I would share two of my favorite Etsy cards. I really love the paper used on the egg. It's one of my favorites. Sad thing is I can't seem to find it alone...only in a paper pack. I guess I'll have to buy the pack again!!! LOL! The Easter bunny card was a really fun one to make. It's funny the cute things you can find if you clean out your stash!! I forgot I even had that bunny. Well I'm off to eat dinner and get the kid ready for bed. More later...

Time change

It's gonna take some time getting used to the time change. It was really hard getting up this morning.

Today was a busy day at work. Lots of work crammed into not enough hours. You know how somedays seem to drag along while others go too fast and you don't have time to finish ANYTHING? Well, today was one of those days at work and at home. Before I knew it it was 5:00pm, but I had plenty of work left on my desk to be done. When I got home, it was the same way. Once I got finished helping the kid with homework, giving her a bath, cooking, cleaning up the kitchen, and washing a load of clothes, the night was over!!

Just to make the busy day worse, my car started smoking and the heat stopped working!! $$$$ later and it's fixed, but that means beans & rice for the next month!! Who just has $$$$$ laying around to blow on fixing a car????? I know I don't!! Well, no since in crying over spilled milk but I may be drinking a lot of it over the next week or so!! LOL!! While we're on the subject of money, when did the darn grocery prices go up so much???!!!

OK, enough rambling!! I'll leave you with a fun layout that I did this weekend. My daughter was being silly one day that I was trying to do laundry. She thought it was sooo funny as you can see from the pictures. Gotta love the kids, right??!!

Here's a recent layout of my hubby. It's sad to say, but I never do layouts

of my husband. He took some pictures last year for a CD cover..hence the treble cleff so I decided to use it for my March DT work at ASF. Of

course I had to use just a little bit of pink to make it my own. LOL!! I just knew that he wouldn't, but to my surprise, the hubby LOVED it.

It's been such a wonderful relaxing weekend for me. I've done absolutely nothing except arts and crafts. I even tried my hand at painting which is funny to me. My friend, ArtsyWriterMama has gotten me interested in art. Well, I'm definitely not a Picasso, but it's so much fun to paint!! I felt just like a kid in a candy store. I even gave my daughter a paint brush and some paints to mess around with. I honestly think that her's looks just as good as mine!!! HAHAHAHA!!

Quickie
